Baskets in palm tree...

These lovely baskets are made in the region of El Fayoum Oasis and are sold quite everywhere in Egypt on the hawkers carts. At MAISON D'ORIENT's, you will find small baskets, boxes, table mats, etc.

Decorated and scented candles

Decorated & scented candles...

Our candles are designed by a craftswoman from Hurghada; she uses natural wax to make her multicoloured scented and hand decorated candles. Some sand from Safaga is also used in the making of the candles bases and ornaments. You will find various designs: obelisks, pyramids, submarine or Bedouin decorations, etc. Some very nice souvenirs from the Red Sea!

The loofa is used as a bath sponge and for skin massage; the sponge is used in makeup and baby bathing.
